Join us for some fun at Stars and Strikes.  Two games of bowling, shoe rental and a $5 game card for only $6 per bowler.  Eat before you come or order from their full menu.  This offer is available M-F, 12:00-3:00.


Annual Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup
 Saturday,
September 13, 2008, 9:00 am.
This is a great time
for everyone in the Acworth community to come and help clean up the shoreline
of both Lake Acworth and Lake Allatoona.

GA-EPH will have a group of volunteers to help with this wonderful community service.  A cookout at Cauble Park will follow for all participants.
  


Cobb County Water Treatment Plant-Northwest Plant Tour

You must RSVP by September 5th.
Tour will include an educational film and a walk through of the plant.  We will see how the "dirty" water comes into the plant and leaves clean!

This field trip is free of charge.  GA-EPH families will be able to register first.  Best for students between ages 8-12 years old.  (No strollers.)  Maximum number of students is 20.  If we get an overwhelming response, an additional group may be added.

Gwinnett Gladiators Homeschool Hat Trick for Reading Program
Saturday, November 15, 7:35 pm
You will need to register by September 3rd in order to participate in this program.

The Gwinnett Gladiators “Hat Trick for Reading” Program is designed to help stimulate interest in reading among Elementary School aged children (grades K-5).  
Each participating student will be given a Gladiators bookmark and asked to read at least three books during a specified time period (usually three to four weeks.)

Students will receive a voucher for two (2) complimentary End Zone seats to the Gladiators game vs. Pensacola on Saturday, November 15th @7:35 pm.
The voucher will also allow the purchase of up to (4) additional End Zone seats for only $6 each. An End Zone seat has a regular gate price of $13.

The Visitors Center and Monetary Museum features a display on the history of money; interactive, multimedia exhibits explaining the Federal Reserve's role in the economy; and a view of the bank's automated vault and cash processing areas. In addition, most group tours include a stop in the bank's boardroom.

Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Tickets are $7 each.  (Don Quixote tickets are $5 if you purchase tickets for another show.)
RSVP by August 20th for all Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre performances.
You will need to pay for tickets by August 27th.

Don Quixote

Travel with Atlanta Ballet to sunny Spain for an evening filled with excitement, comedy and true love. From Cervantes' classic novel comes the lively story of Kitri and Basillio, two young lovers brought together by a very unlikely matchmaker–Don Quixote himself. Audiences of all ages will be thrilled by the dancers fancy footwork, colorful costumes, and contagious energy. It's a ballet treat that is poignant, passionate, and sizzling with spice.
